The
1st RAV4 meet in Western Australia took
place on the 23rd of October 2004 commencing
4pm onwards. The event comprised of
a BBQ and get together for a sundowner
at Kings Park overlooking the city.

First
on scene were Praveen, Lerwick, David
and Carol. After setting up our BBQ
and our chairs Jimmy showed up with
one his mates (Richie). Parking was
a little bit of a hassle so unfortunately
it was a difficult task parking our
RAV4’s in the same place. Nevertheless,
we all managed to find parking and
settled down for a friendly chat about
our lives and our RAV4’s. Chirag
was last on scene and we appreciate
him actually taking a couple of hours
off work to be there with us (talk
about dedication).

| After
chucking stuff on the BBQ everyone decided
on taking a stroll over to Chirag’s
RAV. After all we all wanted to know
what 30 Grand worth of Audio Gear looks
like. We were all like “wow”
when Chriag showed us his ride and explained
that his RAV was judged the second loudest
RAV4 in WA at last years auto salon. |

for the RAV4 pics (the ones you have
been all waiting for). David drives
a Blue 2001 model RAV but we just couldn’t
get his RAV in place for the photos.
Nevertheless, some other RAV4 owner
(the white RAV4.2 in between mine and
Chirag’s RAV’s) just decided
to squeeze in between two of our RAV4’s.

had another BBQ to go to so the next

The
meet concluded at around 6.30pm and
we all went out different ways. Lerwick,
David and Ben (not present at this
meeting) will be heading for a softroader
meet on Sunday 24th October organised
by the 4WD association of WA.
Thank

making it such a big success. Look
forward to the next meet. What a FANTASTIC
start to our club in WA.
