Sydney, Australia : NSW/ACT Southern Highland Cruise (NSW, 15/6/2005)

This Meet was organised by Normann (TobyIIDog). Pictures and write up by Normann (TobyIIDog)

This meet was a great follow up from the previous Wiseman's Ferry Run. It had been the very first time a meet was organised between ACT and NSW members.

Overall the attendees were :
» Andrew (as himself)
» Normann (TobyIIDog)
» Peter (rav97)
» Brendan (moyleb)
» Rob (busted watermelon)

Due to lifestyle change and other commitments, some usual suspects did not make it to the meet.

The NSW crew decided to meet at the Ampol Truckstop at The Crossroads at Liverpool. Pete was the first person to arrive the followed shortly by Normann.

Andrew would have arrived first if he did not turn into the wrong service station (someone did not follow the direction properly).

After a bit of show'n'tell we made our way to Sutton Forest Shell Shell Service station where we met Brendan and Rob.

The sight of all the RAVs above amazed the Shell Service Station attendant. We even manage to get some head turner. This is the line up after the RAV had its drink (from closest to furthest): Rob, Normann, Peter, Andrew and Brendan.

Compare the height between the last two... from one extreme to another

After we have discussed our itenary:

» Fitzroy Falls

» Mt Cambrawarra Lookout

» Lunch at Nowra

» Macquarie Pass Rest Area for Deserts

» Maquarie Pass

» Robertson

then go somewhere for more happy snaps opportunity

Here is our first pit stop, at Fitzroy Falls

Check out the frog's eyes on those RAVs (with exception of Pete which soon will be getting a set of).

Pete meet Rob.... Rob meet Pete. :D

Andrew meet Brendan... Brendan meet Andrew :D
Looks like we have a bouncer in the house.

For our international members, this is Fitzroy Falls and it is about 2 hrs drive from Sydney.

No this is not Blue Mountains.

Guess who is scare of heights?

The knights of the round errr.. table?

Another magnificent view of the Southern Highlands from Mt Cambrawarra lookout.

Another great shot of the RAVs just at the start of the Macquarie Pass drive.

Here are the boys again. Desert time.

Start of the run. Pity we could not take pics of this drive as it is a magnificent piece of roadway that cuts into a sub-tropical rainforest. Andrew had a

great run with a Subie at this leg. I think it brought a great suprise the the Subie drive that a RAV manage to keep up with it.
Due to slow traffic, the gang was fragmented at this stage therefore we all agreed to round up together in from of the 'turd' at Robertson.

Below will tell the story how we ended the night. Enjoy. :D

And the Lord said, "There has be light!" and then the whole world flashed so brightly.

OK someone is making fun of the photographer now.

Here is Brendan busted breaking into Andrew's ride.

And the night ended with a RAV dance party. :D
See you all again next time.
